Hej! We’re Sander Schimmelpenninck, Willemijn de Groot and Lynn Kleinjan, three people who moved from The Netherlands to Sweden. After a few years of integrating, we’ve gotten to know this country pretty well. And that knowledge didn’t go unnoticed.

Sander, a Dutch media entrepreneur and podcast host, and partner of Lotta Klemming, has been sharing Sweden’s beauty for a while now. He kept getting questions like: “Where can I eat well in Gothenburg?” or “Got any tips for a special place to stay?” That’s when the idea started for Travel.se: a modern take on the traditional travel agency.

Sweden is becoming more popular for different reasons. The rest of Europe is getting hotter, stickier, and more crowded. Packed streets, beaches and streets have become the norm in many countries. But Sweden is the exception. There’s even a new word for it: "coolcation", skipping Southern Europe in favour of somewhere cooler, calmer.
