Not a strange question, because Scandinavia is home to manufacturing giants like Lego and Ikea, transport giant Volvo, but also lesser-known producers of machinery and defence systems (Atlas Copco, Saab), telecom equipment (Nokia, Ericsson) and lifts (KONE).
The region shows that Europe can also produce (fin)tech giants; the world's largest music streaming company (Spotify) and the largest buy-now-pay-later service (Klarna) come from Sweden. Those companies also generate above-average returns. Moreover; Scandinavian companies achieved higher shareholder returns than the European average over the past decade.
