General informatiON

• 7 nights (Saturday–Saturday) in a 6-person apartment in Idre Fjäll, including beds made up upon arrival and hotel breakfast at the adjacent hotel.

• OPTIONAL: Half board, including a two-course dinner every evening at the adjacent hotel.

• A 2.5-hour snowmobile tour departing from Idre Fjäll.
  Please note: a valid driving licence is required to drive a snowmobile. Children can ride on the back of the snowmobile or, if under 7 years old, in a sled pulled behind the snowmobile.

• OPTIONAL: snowmobile tour with an ice-fishing experience.

• A dog sledding tour of approximately 1 hour, departing near Idre Fjäll.

• OPTIONAL: Extended dog sledding tour of 1.5 hours, including feeding the dogs and a campfire dinner.

• OPTIONAL: Snowshoe hike with reindeer in Grövelsjön.

• OPTIONAL: Ski rental, ski pass and/or ski lessons.

• OPTIONAL: Rental car for the entire week.

Please keep in mind that the weather in Dalarna can change quickly. In the event of extreme cold, strong winds, insufficient snow or other unfavorable conditions, an activity may be adjusted, rescheduled or cancelled. The local provider will determine whether an activity can safely go ahead.

If a booked activity is cancelled by the organizer, Travel.se will make every effort, as quickly as possible and at no additional cost, to reschedule the activity for another time or, if this is not possible, offer a suitable alternative.

During the winter months, you can expect a true winter climate in Dalarna. There is usually snow, and temperatures are almost always below freezing.

In Idre Fjäll, average temperatures in December, January and February are roughly between -10 °C and -5 °C, depending on the month. January and February are often particularly cold. During colder periods, temperatures can drop significantly further, with -20 °C or lower possible. Due to its altitude, Idre Fjäll also generally has reliable snow conditions during the winter. Actual temperatures can vary considerably from day to day and can also be influenced by wind and the location within the mountain area.

For various winter activities, such as snowmobile tours and dog sledding, warm thermal clothing, a winter overall and suitable footwear are often provided. We will inform you in advance about what is provided for the booked activities and what you need to bring yourself.

Once we have sent you the detailed itinerary, it is up to you to confirm the booking. At the time of booking, a deposit of 25% of the total price is required, to be paid within five days of making the booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before departure, unless otherwise stated in the booking confirmation. For bookings made within 45 days of departure, the full amount must be paid immediately.

You always have the right to cancel the trip. Cancellation may incur costs depending on the timing:

• More than 45 days before departure: 25% of the price (deposit)

• 45–31 days before departure: 50% of the price

• 30–0 days before departure: 100% of the price
