Travel.se expands into the German market!

Over the past few weeks, we at Travel.se have been working on a major and exciting step: our official expansion into the German market. Our goal has always been the same: to help travellers discover Sweden in an authentic, personalised and well-prepared way. Sweden is a vast country full of nature, tranquillity, local gems and small-scale accommodations that are often difficult to find without local knowledge. That's exactly where we come in.

Why Germany?

Although Travel.se has always been accessible to everyone, we were able to support our Dutch-speaking customers in their own language, something that was clearly appreciated. We noticed that this need is also very strong in other countries, especially in Germany.

No fewer than 27 million Germans are interested in a holiday in Sweden. The reasons are clear:

  • free access to nature (Allemansrätten),
  • the silence and space,
  • accommodation in or close to nature,
  • and the ease of travelling in Sweden for nature lovers.

This makes Germany one of the most important and promising markets for a travel organisation specialising in Sweden.

What have we done?

In order to offer our German customers the same service as our Dutch travellers, we have taken major steps in recent weeks:

  • The entire Travel.se website has been translated into German.
  • We have launched a separate Instagram page for the German market: @travel.se_germany.
  • With our German colleague Daniela on the team, German-speaking customers can be assisted entirely in German, from the initial enquiry to support during the trip.

A logical and exciting step

This expansion feels like a natural next step for Travel.se. It enables us to help even more people discover Sweden in the way we believe works best: with personalised, carefully curated trips that you wouldn't easily put together yourself, but which perfectly match what you are looking for in a holiday in Sweden.

So, whether you speak Dutch, German or English, you are more than welcome at Travel.se!
