You'll sleep in one-of-a kind stays, experience local activities and most of all make the most out of your days in Sweden!
Welcome to Gothenburg! Your hire car is ready and waiting, so you'll be in the city in no time. You will check in at a unique family hotel, where the atmosphere is immediately welcoming. After that, you can decide what you feel like doing: grab a bite to eat in the city? Take a stroll? Or head to Liseberg, an amusement park for young and old, where you can enter from 6 p.m. onwards. A great start to your week!
Start the day good with a delicious hotel breakfast, including a merry-go-round for the children, so good luck leaving! Later in the day, something really fun is planned: a ceramics workshop with Pien, a Dutch ceramist with a beautiful studio in the centre of Gothenburg. Here you can throw, knead, try and laugh. Everything you make will be delivered to your home after the trip. Your own Swedish souvenir, but really homemade!
Another quiet morning in the city, perhaps with time to visit a few more places from our city guide. Then you'll head for the coast, where a luxury safari tent awaits you among the trees, sea and silence. Upon arrival, you'll find a campfire kit, marshmallows, cinnamon buns – the whole shebang. Light a fire by the tent or find a nice spot somewhere in the woods. Enjoy!
Good morning! After a wonderful night, the breakfast basket is already waiting for you at the door. Then the day is wide open. The children can catch crabs from the jetty, you can go for a walk or rent a boat at your leisure. This place is the perfect base from which to explore the region, or simply relax on the spot!
After a pleasant final night in the safari tent, today you will move to the northern archipelago of Gothenburg! Your own sjöbod awaits you on Hönö: a cosy house right on the water, with views of the rocks and the sea. The rest of the day you can explore the island, go swimming or settle down somewhere by the water for dinner in the evening sun (for example, on your own terrace!).
During this last stay, it's also time for a special activity! Today, you'll be setting off with fisherman Lasse, a cheerful character who has been sailing through the archipelago for years. He'll take you out on his small fishing boat to catch crabs. Think: orange sailing trousers, life jackets, wind in your hair and lots of fun. Afterwards, you can prepare the crabs yourself or ask the restaurant to do it for you (always a good idea).
Today is a wonderful day off on the island. Perhaps you would like to visit that lovely café? Take a mini road trip inland? Or simply read a book on your terrace overlooking the sea. This is your day, to spend exactly as you wish.
After one last night, it's time to say goodbye to the island and to Sweden. After a final coffee with a view, you drive back to Gothenburg and return the car. Then the journey home begins, hopefully with a phone full of photos and a head full of wonderful memories!

By filling in the booking form you submit an application for this trip. We will come back to you as soon as possible with a confirmation of your request, including a specified price for your group. You have two days to accept the confirmation.
In conjunction with the booking, we ask for a deposit of 25% of the price. The remaining amount will be paid no later than 30 days before departure, unless otherwise specified in the booking confirmation. When a trip is booked within 45 days before departure, the full amount must be paid at once.
You always have the right to cancel the trip. This may incur costs, depending on the time of cancellation.
With Travel.se, the trip starts the moment you arrive in Sweden, which means that transport to Sweden is not provided by us. There are several ways to travel to Sweden, depending on where you are coming from. For this trip, travelling by plane to Göteborg Landvetter Airport is most convenient. Other travel options (such as by car or train) are also available, of course. Ask us about the possibilities.
